The ask: Create an improved patient registration process for cancer patients in the current hospital space, as well as the future hospital space.

Team size: 4 researchers / designers

My role: Design director

Duration: 4 months

Phases included: Discovery research in multiple languages, co-creation workshops, service & digital concepting, user testing, space and digital design options for pilot

Outcome: Service design function clearly established in organization, and patient/staff satisfaction improved

The ask: Improve the performance evaluation process across an international collection of stores and creating a digital data-heavy tool to support growth and performance analysis

Team size: 5 researchers / designers

My role: Design director (project lead)

Duration: 6 months

Phases included: Global discovery research, service & digital concepting, digital product design

Outcome: 30% improvement in customer satisfaction

The ask: Figure out how to improve the surgical scheduling process to optimize OR utility and improve surgeon and staff experience, then designing the prioritized concept. This project also served as the design org definition & set-up for the hospital system.

The ask: Provide a test-and-learn approach for a very secretive cashless AI-driven physical space representing a partnership between a FAANG company and a globally-recognized coffee brand. Provide service and physical store design improvement recommendations satisfying both companies with opposing customer value props and philosophies.

Duration: 6 weeks

Phases included: Onsite qual/quant evaluative research, service design

Outcome: Improved user experience and utilization for new retail model

The ask: Create a proprietary research app that allows teams to scale onsite research coverage and include non-researchers in the data collection activities.
